Quarry Cottage New Polzeath
About
Quarry Cottage is a secluded, detached self-catering house, located in a tranquil area of New Polzeath on the North coast of Cornwall.
Enjoying sea, coastal and rural views, a footpath from the garden leads directly down to the beach and shops at Polzeath. Quarry Cottage has the advantage of a large, lawned garden with mature planting and a spacious sun deck, plus ample parking space. The conservatory provides an extra living/dining area from which to enjoy the gorgeous views. Accommodating 6 people in 3 bedrooms, Quarry Cottage is practical and convenient for a couple of families to enjoy a wonderful seaside break.
An Aga in the breakfast room with its kitchenette makes for cosy easy breakfasts; bring your meals outside or light the barbecue on the elevated terrace then relax and soak up the view of Pentire Point. After a bracing surf, rinse off and warm up under the outside hot shower. The main bedroom is a twin with shower en suite. There are also two further rooms: one twin and one super king double (which can be made into a twin - just let us know when booking!). Join the holiday buzz on the beach just a few minutes walk away, or hide away in the peace and calm of Quarry Cottage's garden with a good book. Whatever you choose, there is something for everyone in this stunning coastal area whether you wish to swim, surf, walk, play golf or paint the beautiful landscapes from a sheltered spot. Sailors and kayakers should head over to Rock, a superb location on the Camel estuary providing ideal waters, especially at high tide. Then celebrate your day's efforts by catching the water taxi over to Padstow for a slap-up seafood supper at Rick Stein's.

Adventures
Beaches - Our Top Picks
-
Polzeath - the ultimate surfers' beach, just below the house. Head to Cone Zone afterwards for an ice-cream or the Galleon Cafe for breakfast.
-
Daymer - great for young children, with parking right on the beach. We love to climb Brae Hill.
-
Rock - a vast stretch of sand, with sailing, water-skiing, and the ferry to Padstow. Children will love the dunes; parents will love The Mariners.
-
Lundy - a secluded cove, 40 min walk from Quarry Cottage. Best at low tide to get the sandy beach and enjoy picnics & barbecues.
-
Port Quin - historic fishing cove with shingly beach, beautiful views and lovely swimming.

Whilst these are our favourites, Quarry Cottage is superbly placed to walk the South West Coast Path. Sarah is a keen walker and would be happy to advise on other routes!
